Stamped Concrete

What is Stamped Concrete (aka Textured or Imprinted Concrete)?

Stamped concrete is an affordable paving option that replicates the look of various stones such as slate, brick, flagstone etc. It requires very little maintenance when compared to other materials and is extremely durable and weather resistant. The ability to choose from a wide variety of custom patterns and colours gives you the ability to be as creative as you would like for patios, pool decks, driveways and more.

Aesthetically, stamped concrete gives the designer the ability to be as creative as they desire.

 

Exposed Aggregate

With a professionally exposed aggregate finish, spectacular effects can be produced at a reasonable price point.

Exposed Aggregate is achieved by removing the outer layer of cement paste and uncovering the coarse decorative aggregate that lies beneath. This finish is perfect for surfaces exposed to high traffic areas, weather extremes or slippery surfaces such as exterior stairways or pool decks as it offers the additional benefits of being skid resistant.

Exposed aggregate also contrasts well with plain concrete to add beautiful texture to the overall look giving depth and dimension to any concrete creation.

 

Plain Concrete

The primary difference between stamped and plain concrete is the finish. Although many people prefer the look and feel of stamped concrete, plain concrete is more affordable and it is possible to get a fairly high-end look if it has the right finish. It is a cost-effective option that will still give you the durability you desire.

Concrete Forming

Unlike interlock stones, bricks or just about any other material, concrete can be manipulated to assume almost any shape. It is a very unique product that begins as a semi-solid, giving you the ability to fill voids including very difficult to reach areas. This ability to fill voids and assume just about any shape is why concrete is the most used building material on the earth.

oncrete forms are simply solid barriers that hold poured concrete in place until it assumes the shape and cures to the specific mold. More modern forming systems also allow us to provide a method of insulation and/or additional decorative effects. Although these concrete forms can be made of various materials such as metal, plastic, fiberglass and resins, it is most common and cost effective to use wood.

Concrete starts out in a liquid state that is formed or shaped into the desired mold. These custom molds are filled with concrete and reinforced with steel rebar for strength and durability making concrete a proven choice for construction.

There are many resurfacing products available that gives you a diverse array of decorative finishes to choose from. With so many options available, we are sure you will find at least one that meets your requirements.

However, not all existing concrete can be resurfaced. If your concrete is heaving, have severe cracks or is spalling due to damage from deicing salts etc. your option to resurface might be limited.

Foundations
